I have purchased a lot of cars and my experience at Land Rover Sarasota was and above the rest. The entire team was so professional from start to finish. Our salesman Payton Hinkle was incredibly knowledgeable about the Land Rover and Range Rover product line and provided all the information we needed to choose the right vehicle. His manager Ernie was very helpful in helping our negotiations and very professional. By the time we quickly got to our finance person, Hector, we were cruising right along and out the door very quickly. Hector was quick, but thorough and helped us choose the right extended coverage for my new Defender. I am super pleased with my purchase and how well we were treated at Land Rover Sarasota.
Worst car dealership experience ever.....period. The recent reviews don't lie. Never felt as belitted as I felt that day. Bought a used BMW that was listed at 52k. When I was finished, the loan was 59k. Every sale has a mandatory $3500 "Advantage" plan (attached) Total B.S. Live over an hour away, so went to look at vehicle prepared to buy. Process took a painful 3.5 hours. Love my X7, but dealership is a total disaster. Toby was the one bright spot. Hope he's decided to move on from this mess.

Hector did a wonderful job of walking us through our options in financing and warranties. They made the car buying process a little less painful.

I recently bought a care from this dealership and it was hands down the worse experience I had buying a car. I was forced into thousands of dollars of warranties by the manager Dan and was spoken to and treated poorly.
I contacted the dealership a few days later letting them know I wanted to cancel all the warranties. They told me they saw my review and wanted to make things right. I went in and the manager greeted me saying "I am so sorry, under no circumstance are you ever required to take warranties. Those are completely optional. I'm sorry for what you experienced." I looked at him confused because he was the one who forced me into the warranties stating "They are practically free because we gave you more for your trade-in." I told him it was him and I knew better, it is not free when you're tacking it into my loan with interest. We moved forward and the finance guy was still trying to sell me on warranties, I get that's his job but I asked him to stop. He then removed one, the most expensive warranty thinking I wouldn't notice. I came in fully prepared with numbers, documents and knowing exactly what needed to be removed. I told him it was wrong, then he went back and fixed it. He kept mentioning my payment went down about $14 and I knew something else was off. When we got to the page where they showed me what I got for my trade (which they reassured me would not change prior to coming)I noticed they lowered the amount. I told him the amount was wrong and that I would not sign any other documents until it was fixed. He then said, "No this is what we gave you for your trade-in." I told him it wasn't and asked him to pull up the previous documents. He then stated, "I don't have access to the old documents." I stated, "You don't have access to legal documents done just 1 week ago?" Well, it wasn't a problem because I had them on the laptop with me and I mentioned calling Ernie and he said "Okay Okay I'll fix it, well just do it." I was so frustrated that I was still being conned throughout this deal but happy I was prepared. He also tried to get me to remove my review since they "helped me." I declined.
I feel bad for the people that are unaware of these issues.
Jaguar Range Rover in Sarasota was a wonderful experience. Ernie and Sayvon were great to work with, so nice and accommodating! It was a seamless experience buying my car. I would recommend this dealership to anyone!
